Our Commitment

CalBudget is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to guarantee we provide equal access to all users.

Conformance Status

We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and more user-friendly for everyone.

The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA, and AAA). We have chosen Level AA as our target for CalBudget.

Measures We Take

CalBudget takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

  • Include accessibility as part of our development process
  • Provide keyboard navigation throughout the application
  • Ensure sufficient color contrast ratios
  • Support screen readers and assistive technologies
  • Offer text alternatives for non-text content
  • Respect user preferences for reduced motion
  • Maintain a clear and consistent navigation structure

Known Limitations

Compatibility

CalBudget is designed to be compatible with the following:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver, JAWS)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200%

Assessment Approach

CalBudget assesses the accessibility of our application through self-evaluation and ongoing user feedback. We use a combination of automated testing tools and manual testing to identify and address accessibility issues.
