Your data is used exclusively to provide the CalBudget service:

  • To calculate your daily calorie totals and progress

We do not:

  • Share your data with third parties for their own purposes

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices:

  • Account authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication (Google)
  • Your calorie data is stored on secure, encrypted database servers
  • All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
  • We use secure, authenticated API endpoints to access data

Cookies & Similar Technologies

CalBudget uses only essential cookies required for the application to function:

  • Authentication cookies: Set by Firebase Authentication to maintain your login session

We do not use any analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies for authentication, no cookie consent banner is required.

CalBudget uses the following third-party services to operate:

For All Users

  • Access: You can view all your data within the CalBudget application
  • Export: You can export your calorie data at any time
  • Deletion: You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data

  • Know what personal information we collect about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights

Note: We do not sell personal information, so the "right to opt-out of sale" does not apply.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will permanently delete all your personal data and calorie entries within 30 days of your request.

Children's Privacy

CalBudget is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
